Expedition TibetBuddhist philosophy exclaims that all mountains are sacred and thus should never be touched by human feet. The Tibet Mountaineering Department has given permission for visitors to climb three major peaks in Tibet: Mt. Everest (which can also be climbed from the Nepalese side), Cho-Oyu (8201 m) and Shishpangma (8153 m). Of course you have heard of the difficulties in climbing Mt. Everest, but Cho-Oyu and Shishpangma provide a high mountain experience without these technical difficulties. Any mountain over 8000 meters, of which there only 14 in the world, demands respect and you will need to be physically fit and have experience with high altitudes before attempting to summit any of these mountains. Our professional climbing team has a great deal of experience in this area and will take care of all the logistics for your climb. So all you need to worry about is the trek itself!

Mt. Shisapangma Mt. Shishapangma Expedition (8153 meters)
Shisapangma means "the big grassy field" in Tibetan. It is the only 8000 meter peak that lies wholly within Tibet's borders. For a very long time it was relatively unknown as it is mostly hidden from Nepal by the Jugal Himal Mountain Range. The first summit attempt was made in 1964 by a Chinese expedition group on the north side of the mountain. Today Shisapangma is one of the easiest 8000-meter peaks to visit. It towers impressively near Nyalam Thong-La Pass... More »
Mt. Cho Oyu Mt. Cho-Oyu Expedition (8201 meters)
At an altitude of 8201 meters, Cho-Oyu is located on the Nepalese and Tibetan border. Technically it is not a difficult climb with a relatively easy descent. We do suggest, however, that only climbers with high altitude experience attempt summating this mountain. Due to the acclimatization needs and unpredictable weather conditions of Cho-Oyu, we have created an itinerary that begins with 14 days of sightseeing, acclimatizing and preparation to ensure maximum enjoyment over the 33-day trip...
